Dream Soul

Dreams are strange. Mine are usually confusing, jumping around and going in many different directions. Sometimes I can almost control them, other times all I can do is watch them unfold. They often seem so clear as they're happening, and occasionally, they still seem to make sense just after I wake up. But then as conciousness takes over, the dream fades into a fuzzy memory, leaving only fragments and glimpses that I try all morning to piece back together.

Cosmic Brain Map

Here is one version of what a map of a lifetime might look like. It's shown as a planet made up of twisting confusion, and a ring system of paths that lead out into clear, open space and back into the core of tangled mess. The planet itself could represent the brain, and the rainbow rings show that sometimes it's necessary to step outside of typical thought processes to see things how they truly are.

Super7 Dorogami

Super7 in San Francisco just released this sweet piece of vinyl, called "Dorogami" produced by Cronic of Japan. I created the artwork for the header card, using a digital composite of ink, watercolor, and guache. Having been obsessed with toys since I could breathe, I'm very psyched about my first official toy related project. Hopefully more projects like this will follow in the near-ish future.

The figure is available at www.super7store.com.

Back From the Blog-Dead

Well, after months of imprisonment by Transor the Matter Mover, I finally escaped (with a little....okay a lot...of help from Space Ghost) and am ready to attend to my blog again. Look for much more frequent updates starting now, provided I don't get myself into anymore intergalactic shenanigans.
